Disney Parks Blog has officially announced that 6 Starbucks stores will be coming to Disneyland and WDW. All four WDW parks are supposed to get one, but Disneyland gets dibs on the first store. These locations will serve most of the normal Starbucks menu as well as some Disney specialties. It’s about time that the parks got a few more quality coffee spots. The Nescafe that is served in most locations is just horrible. Till these are built don’t forget that there are a few good coffee spots in Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, but few accept snack credits. There is no word yet if Starbucks will accept the dining plan snack credits.
The first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day. Participating comic book stores across the country will be handing out free comics to those who visit on that day. There are different requirements from each vendor, so be sure to check this site to find a local participating store and give them a call.
Guests staying on the monorail loop may have to take one of the boats or a bus back to their resort in late April. The monorail will once again shut down during non-peak hours in the day to allow for construction of the new DVC wing at the Grand Floridian. No word yet on how long this will last.
We stumbled upon a few half price Dooney bags through Disney Parks merchandise online store. These are the cruise line bags that are being replaced by the newest line very soon. They’re still beatiful and well worth the price, especially if you plan on taking a Disney cruise some time down the road. Start preparing your husbands for the sticker shock of a cruise early, break them in with an official Disney Cruise Line Dooney & Bourke bag!

By now I’m sure you’ve all watched the shows about how 13 was actually a lucky number for the early colonists who founded this country. It’s repeated several times on the dollar bill alone. Now there is more reason not to be afraid of the number 13. Disney seems to feel it’s a lucky number also, and just like the earliest Americans, they have it repeated in many places throughout both WDW and Disneyland. The entire Haunted Mansion attraction in WDW features 13 in several places, and it’s one of the most popular attractions in any theme park. The Liberty Tree in Magic Kingdom has thirteen laterns hanging from its branches. Apparently the numeric street address of Disneyland resort is 1313.

For those of you who are obsessed with Dooney & Bourke’s line of Disney bags, we have new additions! First is a retro line of bags created exclusively for the Disneyland resort. Second is a line simply referred to as “buttons” for now. More information on this line of bags is going to be made available closer to the official debut date of May 12. Unfortunately both lines are only located at the Disney Vault 28 store in Disneyland for now, but I’m sure a WDW version will be made some time in the future.
Both The Land and the EPCOT character spot are scheduled to be open until 10 pm to give guests more options during Test Track’s refurbishment which begins April 16.
